Clearing off my hard drive and found this picture of my old apartment in The Netherlands.
I made another Glimpse video from my travels abroad. Ch-check it out.
This is the roof of the building I live in. When you are on top of it, you can see so much of the city (because of how flat the Netherlands is)
Today Anna and I climbed on top of our building’s roof. It’s an amazing view, especially when you are looking at such a flat city.
We spent a day doing, well, bike things.
Some requiring a little more - sluw - than others but shall remain unmentioned.
Here’s some of the pictures of various fixing up and debunking of bicycles. Also photos of both Dylan with our two-wheelers.
Lots of bike things in Holland.
Having the opportunity to travel in Europe for the first time in my life has been an incredible blessing. I’ve been so consumed in appreciating my new environment that I’ve hardy had time to plan any projects. So I decided on starting this one.
This is a series of small glimpses into my travels and experiences abroad.
Glimpse 1
Maybe it’s half my love for cooking - and half pride that I can’t just have a cheese and tomato sandwich for dinner.
Or maybe I just can’t stay out of the grocery store, even in Europe.
This is Dylan sautéing some meat sauce yesterday evening. A dinner which ended up like this.
I love cooking here in The Netherlands. Definitely something I need to work on improving.
Groningen has been a lot of fun. It has definitely been a culture shock, to say the least. I cross over this canal whenever I go to the city center. It’s a beautiful sight - and today I saw a rowboat.
So I made it to The Netherlands. With so many new things to experience, I haven’t had much time for the internet. I’ll be attempting to post more, but you never know. The trip here was full of delayed and canceled flights. I had to stay overnight in Chicago O’Hare when the big storm hit; luckily, I made it out the next morning.
And Anna made a blog about her trip here. Check it out.
